The titanium flexible anode is a titanium-based mixed metal oxide (MMO) titanium wire anode coated with backfilled carbon powder and packaged in a soft sheath. The method of connecting and sealing the power cable and the (MMO) titanium anode wire at a certain distance can achieve the same purpose of cable release and transmission. The cable only plays the role of transmitting current, and releases the protective electric field through the MMO/Ti wire to form an auxiliary anode for composite cathodic protection.

Compared with traditional deep well anodes and distributed anodes, titanium flexible anodes have the following advantages:

Because the titanium flexible anode is close to the protected object, it is evenly distributed with the pipeline and the laid path, and the output current is evenly distributed. Even if the pipeline anti-corrosion layer is severely damaged or even exposed, it can provide sufficient protection current, avoiding the problems of over-protection and under-protection in pipeline protection, and is highly targeted. It has little interference effect on other metal structures, and has small loss current and long life, which is beneficial to reduce system output, provide energy efficiency of cathodic protection engineering, and achieve comprehensive protection. However, the traditional graphite anode or the current titanium tube anode string anode cannot be distributed along the pipeline, which affects the point distribution of protection.
