Electrodeposited copper foil is manufactured through the deposition of copper ions, onto the cathode drum via electrolysis. In Practice, the foil is produced through continuous rotation of the drum and simultaneous winding of the copper foil as it is released from the drum surface. ED Copper Foil Machine

ED copper foil machine employs an arc-shaped electrolytic cell filled with a copper sulfate solution. The copper sulfate electrolyte flows into the electrolytic region between the titanium anode plate and the cathode drum at the bottom of the anode cell, and electrolysis takes place. Copper ions gradually deposit on the surface of the cathode drum within the electrolytic region. As the cathode drum slowly rotates, a certain thickness of copper foil is formed on the surface of the electrolytic region. After rotation, the copper foil is detached from one end of the cathode drum and collected using a winding roller.

The main components of the ED copper foil machine typically include:

Electrolytic Cell: it holds the electrolyte solution of copper sulfate. It is the core part of copper foil production, where the electrolytic process deposits copper ions from the anode onto the cathode, forming copper foil.

Anode: The anode in the machine is usually a coated titanium anode (DSA anode). The anode exhibits excellent electrocatalytic and corrosion-resistant properties, enhancing the efficiency and stability of the electrolytic process.

Cathode drum: it is used to collect the electrolytic copper foil. It is made of titanium and serves as the primary surface for depositing the copper foil.

Rewinding Roller: it is used to collect the electrolytic copper foil from the cathode drum and wind it into rolls.

Take-up Drum: The take-up drum is a component used for winding the electrolytic copper foil into rolls. After detaching from the cathode drum, the copper foil is wound into rolls using the take-up drum, resulting in finished copper foil products.

Control System: The machine is equipped with a control system that monitors and regulates the parameters of the electrolytic process, ensuring that the produced electrolytic copper foil meets specifications and quality requirements.
