Titanium Anode for Electrolytic Copper Foil

FIP Titanium Anode

Titanium anode has gradually replaced traditional graphite anode, and lead alloy anode after 50 years of development because of its incomparable advantages. DSA titanium anode for copper foil electrolysis is widely used worldwide now because of its lightweight, long service life, high current power supply, stable operation, and no environmental pollution.
There are currently two types of anode plate processing by the foil machine, one is the mosaic type (1mm plum blossom hole) and the other is the back pull type (6mmFIP). Details are below;

These specified technical parameters are designed for the usage conditions and service life requirements of titanium anode plates in the production process of electrolytic copper foil. They ensure that the anode plates can operate stably under specific process conditions and have a longer service life. The control and optimization of these parameters are crucial for the production quality and efficiency of electrolytic copper foil.

Copper foil titanium anode advantages

Our coated titanium anode boasts the following technical parameters and product advantages:

  1. Substrate Material: TA1 (Titanium Grade 1)
  2. Uniformity: Achieved through sandblasting and acid etching, followed by ultrasonic cleaning.
  3. Coating Structure: TA1 + Composite Intermediate Layer + Nano Coating of Iridium-Tantalum Mixture.
  4. Electro-catalytic Activity: By increasing the micro-roughness of the titanium base, the actual catalytic surface area of the coating is enhanced. The addition of precious metal oxides helps regulate the electrochemical properties of the electrode, leading to reduced cell voltage and energy savings.
  5. Processing Types: Embeddable (1mm dimple holes) and Back-pull (6mm FIP) designs.
  6. Maximum Tolerable Current Density: < 10000A/m².
  7. Service Life: 40000KAH/m² (or 8 months). Special sintering techniques are employed to minimize surface cracking of the coating, inhibit the erosion of the solution’s oxygen, and slow down the formation of TiO2 passivation film, thus prolonging the anode’s lifespan.
  8. Re-coating of Failed Anode Plates: A major advantage of our titanium anode plates lies in their ability to be recoated. This applies primarily to the 6mm Back-pull FIP anode plates. When the lifespan is complete, our company’s surface removal coating technology allows for the surface to be cleaned and then recoated with precious metal oxides, effectively resetting the anode plate’s lifespan.

These technical parameters and advantages make our coated titanium anode an excellent choice for various applications, especially in the electrolytic copper foil industry, ensuring high performance, extended lifespan, and cost-effectiveness.
